I am tracking my Texas ancestors back across the south to their point of entry into the US. They all arrived in TX around 1850-1880. They traveled through MS, AR, AL, GA, TN, SC, NC as far was we are aware. In Texas they located predominantly in the Ellis County area south of Dallas.
