"H. L. Erisman" is printed on the outside of a coffee mug I bought at a yard sale in Juneau, Alaska, approximately 10 years ago. The seller did not know anything about the mug, which seems to date from the 1930s or earlier. Above the name is a photo portrait of a young man. I have wondered about H. L.
