William Harrison Gibson b. 6 Sept. 1840 in Pope Co. IL married Harriet Jackson 15 March 1868. In 1870, the couple was living in Eddyville (near Pope Co. IL). In the summer of 1870 they moved to Kansas and returned to IL for a visit in 1871. They had 11 children: JOSEPH FRANKLIN GIBSON b.20 Jan.1870 in Pope Co. IL. A farmer in KS. he married Rosa Ritchey. He died 8/1953. Both are burried in Belknap Cemetery in Chautauqua, KS. MARY MAHALA GIBSON b. 13 June 1871 married Albert Ahrberg 18 May 1892 Burried in Belknap Cemetery both resided in Stillwater, OK SAMUEL GIBSON b. 29 Feb. 1876. married Hannah Shawver and moved to Cushing, OK HARRIET ELLEN GIBSON b. 3 May 1878 in Moline, KS married Hiram Custer 15 Dec. 1896 MAJOR CHARLES GIBSON b.
