Seeking Diane Kramer and Martin Schmidt from Michigan. Diane attended school at Harper Woods. Diane was young (15 or 16) and gave birth to a baby boy on June 1, 1971. Birth may have been at a hospital in Southfield Michigan. The baby boy was adopted by Eugene (Duke) and Jean (Geldhof)Kuerbitz and was given name of Eugene John Kuerbitz Jr. Jean Kuerbitz's sister, Cindy Geldhof(Balowski, Moran) was a friend of Diane's which is how it came that the Jean Kuerbitz would adpot the baby. Cindy married Larry Balowski who was friend to Martin Schmidt, Eugene's birth father. Diane's sister, Cheryl Kramer married Martin's brother, Russ Schmidt. Per Eugene Sr, Diane lived for a short time in the home of Eugene and Jean along with the baby Eugene. Diane stayed in touch for a while with Cindy and always asked "how was Jeanie's baby". Jean and Eugene Sr. divorced when Eugene Jr was about 3. Jean remarried 2 more times, the first to a Bob and the 2nd to a man Eugene called Frenchie. Eugene's adopted mother, Jean died when he was still in high school at Clarkston. Her name at time of death was Jean Welch. Per Cindy, Diane was last known to be living in the Detroit area after her own mother died. Her mother's name may have been Louise Kramer. Cindy states that Diane also had brothers Donald and Ronald.
