I am looking for information about the first 20 years of the life of John M. Davis,my gg grandfather. I know that he was born in Woodford County Kentucky about 1815 and that he moved to Callaway County Missouri in 1836. In 1843 he married Sarah Elizabeth Gibbs, daughter of Samuel Christy Gibbs. They had two sons: Noah and Walter Chris. Sarah died in 1850 and in 1851 John married Elizabeth Jane Hiller. They had 7 more children. I am trying to find out who John's parents and siblings were and info about them. Somewhere the maiden name Whitehead fits in. Maybe his mother's ??? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
