Seeking information regarding Elcana (Elkanoh, Elcaney, Alkane) Bright who came to Monongalia County around 1800 from Delaware. We believe he was married to Elizabeth Thomas and had the following children: William T., Miriam (Maryann), Retilla, Susanna, Lorenzo Dow, Aaron A., Eugenius, Elizabeth and Wesley. William T. Bright's first marriage was to Keziah ?, second to Alcinda Fetty, third to Mariah J. White. Miriam married Samuel Everly s/o Casper and Retilla married Samuel Everly s/o Simeon. Susanna married John Davis. Elizabeth married Jesse Parrish. Lorenzo Dow Bright married Sarah Wilkins in Indiana. Eugenius married Alcinda Baker. Wesley married Ariah Everly. It is unknown if Aaron every married. We are also seeking information regarding Elcana's other marriages (Amey Baker @1823) and a Henrietta Bright who lists Elcana as her husband on her death certificate in 1878. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
