Query Text: |
Hello. I have a pocket notebook that appears to have belonged to a Pvt. Bion H. Tingley. (The first name is difficult to read. I may have gotten the first name wrong.) This man served during WWI at Empire, Canal Zone, Panama. He enlisted on 12 June 1917 at Fort Slocum, NY and was discharged from the army on 25 Jan 1919 in Gordon, Georgia. He served with the 5th Infantry, Co. K, and the 33rd Infantry, Co. K. S.V. Tingley of Waterford, Connecticut is noted. I have no Tingley connections. If you believe that this person may be an ancestor or close relation, please e-mail me. I'd be glad to mail the pocket notebook to you for only the price of postage. The notebook lists dates and notes associated with his military service, names of friends, and miscellaneous lists. He kept a later record too of medical exams and treatments from 1936 - 1944.
