Query Text: |
I am looking for information on Charles Hay Walker, probably of Aberdeen, Scotland, probably son -of Charles Walker and Martha Hay born (baptized) in 1849. Probably then, the same charles Hay Walker (of Charles Hay Walker and Co Ltd) who was involved in the construction of the london docks and other projects, including the port of Buenos Aires. this is my area of interest. He "founded" the town of conchillas in Uruguay, across the river from Buenos Aires, in connection with the stone from the quarry that was used for the building of the port. Two sons either remanied or came back to Uruguay. The company closed down in Uruguay in 1950. Especially personal records etc . | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
