I am looking for any information on Clinton Samuel Lancaster, sometimes went by Sam Lancaster. I have information that he was the first sheriff in Mitchell Co. Texas. He was also a Texas Ranger but I do not know if that was before or after. When He was 9 the trading post that his parentsere operating was burned and his parents were killed leaving him on his own.
