i would like to introduce my self as miss patricia feeney. and would like some help with 2 of my surnames . one is margaret forster born in stoke pero in somerset about 1520 she died i think at rose ash in 1580. i am trying to find out who her parents were. i have been given some information on her. but i am a bit confused. there was also a sir john forster born around 1515 or 1520 in stoke pero. sir john forster and margaret forster were both patrons of the stoke pero church in somerset. the forster family had been patrons of the church 200 years before margaret was born. there is a document of 1579 showing margaret southcombe as the patron presenting a new rector to the church of stoke pero. the patron named after her in 1623 is the son of joan nutcombe nee forster.this makes it virtually certain that margaret her self was a member of the forster family. does anyone know how sir john forster and margaret were related. if he died in 1576 and she died in 1580 they must be cousins or brother and sister. i think sir john forster wifes name was jaon. so there is a connection but i don't know where. if anyone is related to this family could they help and also send me the information. thank you for your help patricia. the other name is pawlet my ancester was george southcombe not to sure where he was born i think bisops nymtpon. he married marie pawlet 30th november satterleigh devon 1574. trying to find out who marie pawlets parents were and where was she born. thank you for your help patricia feeneypatricia@hotmail.com patriciaconry@hotmail.com | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
