Melvina Akins and David Rankin Does anyone have any information on the children of Melvina and David Rankin? Thomas Rankin was b.1843. I can not find him on census after 1850. Did he die as a child? 2. is John Marcus Rankin he was b 1846. Married a Frances? David Patterson Rankin b.1849 m.Martha Ann Moon. When Melvina married David she had two sons 1. James Milton Akins illget son of Tollison Atkinson. and 2. Joseph C. Brownfield. David must have adopted Joseph as he is listed as a Rankin. Does anyone have any information on Joseph Brownfield Rankin? They would have been in Cherokee Co AL most of there lives.
