I was born in the old Kings Daughters Hospital in Gulfport MS Dec 12, 1935 to Bertha Gilliland, who was listed on my birth certificate as being 35 at the time. She gave the name of Howard Hill. I weighed only a little over a pound at birth. I was adopted by Dorothy Mae and Johan A Nilsen and given the name Johan Robert Nilsen. They lived in Pascagoula Mississippi, and he was in the uS Coast Guard, having come from Norway. I would like to find Bertha Gilliland, my Birth Mother if she is alive, or other children of hers, if any of them are alive. I am now 73, in ill health and would like to know where my Mother may be buried or information that can be furnished me that would help me learn of my true birth family.
