I am in search of my son who was born on 2/19/1987 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born at St. John's Mercy Hospital. He weighed 10 lbs, 4oz. It was somewhat of an open adoption as I was able to pick the family. I was only 16yrs when he was born. The family had three other adopted girls and he was to be the baby. My maiden name is Kimberly Ann Hawkins, 11/27/71 and his father is Kenneth O. Whittaker Jr. 7/28/72. We named our son Kenneth Anthony Hawkins. From what I remember the adopted family was going to change his first name to Anthony but I cannot guarantee that. They must have lived in the West County area because my adoption counselor stated to me that she had seen them out shopping with him nearby the office in which we did the adoption. I kind of remember that his adoption court date was around the 30th of March, 1987. I was able to see him one last time before he was actually adopted. Kenneth is biracial. I remember the adoption agency being called Family Counseling and Adoption Agency. The adoption agency was sold and all files were sent over to Lutheran Family and Adoption Services. I have contacted them and they have nothing available in the file. I have since then listed all of my available contact information with the Missouri Adoption Registry which can be located at http://www.dss.mo.gov/cd/adopt/adoir.htm.
