~MALE born 16th August,1943 Germiston.South Africa* Named Patrick Anthony.~ Known as Anthony and later as Tony. I am looking for birth parents or any family I may have.I was born with blue eyes and fair skin and hair. I was adopted by an Australian couple, Mary and Charles Gordon[AKA Peter] who returned to Australia in 1944 on the S.S. Thermistocles,with me. I was raised an only child and both my adoptive parents passed away some time ago. I only found a few letters a couple of days ago to discover I was adopted. I have little else to go on. My father Peter Gordon worked at the Germiston Golf Club.late 1930's - 44. I found an old letter from* Mother M Columba,O.S.F. Franciscan Convent, Madera, Soroti P.O. Uganda,* dated 14th Feb 1944 with blessings to my mother and her new adopted child. I was Baptized Patrick Anthony Gordon on the 16th September at St. Augustines Catholic Church,Germiston.[SA] My Mother was a very devout Catholic, so I would assume that I was adopted from a Catholic organization.
