I am helping my sister locate her birth family. My sister, Phyllis Lindsay, was born on May 7, 1946 in San Diego, California. Her birth certificate says her birth mother's name was Ruby French and her father, Carl Smith, was listed as deceased. The story is that he was killed in a motor accident. Ruby was born in Nebraska and Carl was born in Oklahoma. Ruby may have lived in Oregon in 1946 but went to San Diego for the birth. Phyllis was adopted into the Charles Lindsay and Rae Cason Lindsay family. Charles Lindsay was also the attending physician at her birth. Phyllis is blonde and is only 5 feet tall.
