I am searching for either my birth mother or father. I was born at mid island hospital, which is now called new island hospital. I know my mother was 16 at the time, and she had gone to california to her sisters. while there she got pregnant with me and came back to ny. she was told by her step father to give me up for adoption, or get out. so she did. i believe my backround is italian german and french. i was told my father worked with his hands. the lawyer that handled the case at the time was located in mineola, ny. i was born on may 31, 1979. I was also told i was put into a foster home right from the hospital for a total of 9 months prior to the adoption being finalized. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
