Seeking information on the following two deceased relatives. My Great Grandparents! William Douglas born 1874 and Mary Hicks [maiden name]born 1879 both were born in Louisiana. In the 1900 census The two were living in Police Jury Ward 3, Vermillion, Louisiana. Names listed were: William Douglas, age 26, Mary Lou Douglas, age 21. One son [to my knowledge] was born:My Grandfather, William Douglas date of birth is listed as Oct.28, 1897,birth place, Louisiana. William Douglas served in the U.S. Army in WW I! He later married, [my grandmother] Mary Ann Henderson Davis [Davis was a previous marriage name] to this union were two children. Blanche Douglas,[My Mother] birth date July 25, 1923, and Doris Douglas, birth date unkn.They lived in what was called Old town in Abbeville,Louisiana.
