I'm looking for descendants of John Leininger who married Sarah (Pratt) Burd around 1880. Sarah died in Whitley County, Indiana in 1884, a few days or weeks after giving birth to twins. Family tradition has it that John took the children and left, but he was unable to care for them and gave them to a couple who were moving west. We have no proof of this, but that's the story.
