I am searching for my birth parents. I was born in Newton, Massachussetts on October 23, 1961. I believe there is only one hospital in Newton, the Newton Wellesley Hospital, so I was probably born there. I was adopted through the Boston Children's Service Association in December 1961. I do not know the names of my birth parents or what my birth name was. I was given the surname of Kay. Here's what my "non identifying" paper said: About me (the adoptee): This little girl was born on October 23, 1961 in Newton, Massachussetts. She weighed 6lbs. 11oz. at birth. She is a happy, very feminine little baby who has made good progress right from the start. She has a fair complexion, a lot of straight brown hair and blue eyes. (About my birth father) The father is some years older than the mother. He is of Austro-Hungarian Jewish descent. He has a college graduate degree and has done some work on an advanced degree. He is tall, of medium build, with blonde hair, blue eyes and fair skin. He runs his own business which involves the use of his considerable musical, artistic and creative ability. (About my birth mother and her parents) The mother is in her middle twenties. She is of English and Dutch descent. She is tall and slender, with medium brown hair, grey eyes and fair skin. She graduated from college and now holds a responsible job which requires initiative, organizing ability and skill in getting along with people. She is musical and has much creative talent as do the other members of her family. Her family health history is good. Her mother graduated from high school and had some advanced studies. She is short and of medium build, with blonde hair, blue eyes and fair skin. Her father graduated from college and has his own business which involves the use of his literary skills and knowledge. He is tall and of medium build, with brown hair, grey eyes, and fair skin. The family is civic minded and plays an active part in the life of their community. As the family was unable to provide a home for the baby, they felt that adoption was the very best plan. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
