was adopted in SLC Utah 3 days after my birth on Jan 11 1965 my mother was 31 years old at the time of my birth. She was 5'5" tall with light brown hair and hazel eyes. She had many freckles (says it was a family trait). She was of Scotch, Irish, Danish, and German decent and had a talent for playing the piano and enjoyed cooking and sewing. And only had a 10th grade education. She specifically requested that I be adopted by and LDS family. She worked in a kitchen cafeteria and with laundry. And she was a former member of the LDS Church. And the file stated that she hoped to marry the birth father but nothing else was added to the file. She had 6 older brothers ranging in size from 5'6" to 6' 1" with varying degrees of education, 2 were school teachers and one a CPA, 1 a machine operator and 1 a welder, the last one worked with electronics and 1 older sister who was a waitress and only 5'4". My grandfather was 67 and a Fireman he was 6' my grandmother a housekeeper (whether just her own house or outside work it doesn't say) and had a 6th grade education she was also 5'4". All were LDS and all with Brown or black hair and hazel eyes. My father was 5'8" with blue eyes and light brown hair. He was 36 years old at my birth. Had a High School education and loved to dance. He was a carpenter for a large manufacturing company, Had served in the Armed Forces. Per the file he had no physical, mental or emotional problems. He had been married 3 times but only 1 divorce was finalized. He had 2 brothers and 2 sisters. He too was a former member of the LDS church. They also state that at the time of my birth there were 7 older children 5 boys and 2 girls, who were place in foster homes at that time as well, for the same "health and economic reasons" but the record is not clear how long they remained in foster care. All my life I was told that my mother wanted me place in a good home and that she loved me very much...... True or not I can't say. What I found out when I got the non-identifying info was that I was not only the 8th child but that she was married several times and non of them to my father. There was a girl from the first marriage and at my birth was 13 and in 7th grade, she was placed in foster care at that time for alleged sexual abuse, she had light brown hair and hazel eyes. There was 4 sons from the 2nd marriage ages 9, 7, 6, and 5 who were also place in foster care for alleged neglect, The oldest boy had dark brown hair and blue eyes and was in 3rd grade, The 7 year old had dark brown hair and green eyes and was in 2nd grade, the 6 year old had blond hair and blue eyes and was in kindergarten, the youngest boy aged 5 had blond hair and blue eyes and was not in school yet. And by her 3 husband she had one boy and one girl. The boy was age 2 with light brown hair and blue eyes, the girl was 1 and had brown hair and blue eyes. And they were left with my mother . The file indicated that the older girl and the 4 boys were to be place for adoption but there was nothing noted in the file after my adoption. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
