Looking for family of my ancestor Dr. William M. Thompson, b 1-Sep-1852 in Mechanicsburg, Sangamon Co, Illinois. I believe that Doc's father Jeptha M. Thompson was born in Kentucky, his mother Cyntha (last name known) born in Illinois or Virginia. The 1880 Census of Rosendale, Andrew County, MO shows the family of William Thompson, Physician, age 26, with first wife Lizabeth, age 22, born in MO, with son Edward, age 1, born in MO.
