Iam looking for my great,great grandfather, i have no first name, last name is Stockman. Came to the states from Germany in 1868, at 18 years old. He settled in harrison, westchester, New York. He had 4 children, henry,william,matilda,and george. George went on to have my grandfather, george william stockman, jr. who went by Bill. I have a census from 1900 that lists my great, great g.f as Kater Stockman, but i cannot find any other documents with this name. I believe it's a misprint. I cannot find the ship or where in Germany he came from. If you recognize any of these people and can help I would appreciate it.
