I am looking for any information on a John Carter, born June 9, 1769 in Virginia, married Mary Lohr or Lehr in Shenandoah County on December 25, 1797. Mary worked for a family named Burke. John Beaber was the bondsman named on the marriage record. Mary had a child born prior to marriage in Jan. of 1797, John and Mary had a daughter Nancy born 1798. They moved to Ohio, Gallia County in approximately 1800-1802. Need parents, siblings etc. for John and Mary. Both daughters married Allison's from Virginia and they raised families in Ohio.
