Robert and Jane Richardson came to New Zealand from Scotland after the 1851 Scotland census, he was a miller. His father was charles Richardson and his mother was Jane/Jean Archibald. Robert died 18 Sep 1899 and is buried in Lawrenceville cemetery, Jane died 21 Mar 1909 in Dunedin and is buried in the Northern Cemetery. Their son William Archibald Richardson died 11 Mar 1907 and is also buried in the Northern Cemetery. Jane had 14 children, 9 of whom were living in 1903, their names were Albert, Jim, Jack, Willie, Lizzie, Carrie, Barbra/Babs, Annie, Jessie. If anyone knows more of this family I would appreciate hearing from you. I have a letter from Jane to Robert's sister in 1903 that is very informative and I could share. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
