I am trying to find out more about Joseph Lovett (also spelt Lovatt) who married Emily Walley (possibly spelt Whalley) in Stoke on Trent in 1871. Joseph was a potter who later move to Rotherham where his children were born and then to Preston in lancashire. In the 1871 census he lived at Wharfe st in Stoke - does anyone have any details on what pottery he may have worked for and why he moved around?
