I am still searchimg for cousins whose ancestors were Potts, Traylor,or Vernon who lived in Montgomery or Vernillion coumties in Illinois. My father was Ermest Leon Verno,b.1889/90 to Davis Arthur Vernon and Louisa Alice Traylot [shields] Vernon.The other siblings were Eva b.1881, Essie b.1885, and Thomas H.b. 1892. Davis was a coalminer. This family lived in Pittsburg.KS. Both parents were dead by 1903 amd the kids had a rough time. Their grandmother, Julia A. Potts Traylor went to Pittsburg to care for them; she died and was buried there in 1912. I'm 67 and I've never met any of them or seen a photo, Daddy was 53 when I was born, 55 my sister was born.
