Female adoptee born 2/11/83 in Champaign Co., IL. May have been born elsewhere and then taken to Burnham hospital. Had a large red birthmark on forehead in between eyebrows and a small one on right wrist. Also had a light brown birthmark on leg. 5lbs. 14oz. Blonde hair and blue eyes. Had a heart murmur. I am looking for birthparents of English and/or German ancestry. Birthmother was 16-17 and just over 5' tall, with light brown hair, blue/grey eyes and freckles. She was the second oldest of six or seven children, had good grades, and enjoyed art. Maternal Grandmother was in her mid to late 30's, and Grandfather was in early 50's. Birthfather was 21-22 and around 6' 4", with brown hair, hazel eyes, and olive complexion. He may have had a job as a technician of some sort. I was told that they had wanted to keep me, but am unsure of how much info on forms was altered. I believe a cousin on my mother's side was mentally challenged. Adoption was handled by Catholic Charities. One form states that I am male, with that crossed out and female written above it. Some of my birth certificates have the hospital and Dr.'s name, others do not. One of my birthparents may have belonged to LDS. My relinquishment papers were signed on 2/14/83, I was in foster care until 7/15/83, and my adoption was finalized later (maybe in 1984) in Henry Co. I am trying to locate any/all family members, as I have epilepsy and was recently diagnosed with cancer at age 26. I also have a history of ovarian cysts and am being tested for PCOS. I am allergic to penicillin, as was my birthmother. My caseworker visited the last known census bureau addresses for family members remaining in Champaign area. However, some addresses did not exist, some did not respond, and other appeared abandonded. If anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated!
