Researching my great grandmother Catherine BECK, born Dec 1868, NY (Not positive if it was Brooklyn, Bronx or Queens). She was said to have come from a family of the upper class, and married Charles REINBOLT, owner/operator/butcher of a wholesale-retail meat company/shop, their specialty was pork. Charles was b. on 4 Jan 1868, in Alsace-Lorraine, France, and immigrated to the US in 1888. On the 1900 Federal Census they were listed as living on Central Avenue, Brooklyn, NY -along with a daughter Louisa, age 5, and a son (my grandfather) Arthur, age 3. On the 1910 Federal Census, they were living on Leonard, in Ridgewood. Charles and Catherine also had a daughter Mary "Martha", b. in 1907.
