In 1848, Philip and Mary Dwyer left County Tipperary with their children, Timothy, Patrick, Michael, John, Andrew, Honora, Mary and Thomas Gleeson. Initially, they settled in the St. Louis, MO area. Later, some of the family settled in Stonington, Illinois while others stayed in the St. Louis area. Timothy married Georgia Musick and had Arthur, William, Pearl, Laura and John. After the death of Georgia, Timothy married Elizabeth McEniry and had Genevieve, Mable and Sr Margaret Mary. Timothy's son, William married Honora Shea.
