My x2gtgrandmother was Susannah Bartholomew. Her son Thomas was born c1801 in Biddenden, Kent before her marriage in 1809 to Edward Skinner. They married in Biddenden but after the marriage they lived in Beckley, Sussex where their daughter Celia was born a in 1809. No descendants of that marriage with whom I've been in contact know anything of Susannah's background, nor were they aware of the existence of Thomas. I am not sure if Susannah was born Bartholomew, was previously married to a man of that name or whether it was an assumed name. I would welcome any information which could help establish her roots.
