Hello! My name is Patricia McConnell and I am looking to find geneology information for my McConnell ancestors. My grandparents (Robert John McConnell & Isabella Hutchison) immigrated from Donegal (Ballyeighan, and Manorcunningham respectively) the mid 1925-26 to Canada. Ended up living in McLennan, Alberta. My father James, and uncle Robert were both born in Labadish, County Donegal before my granparents left. My grandfather emmigrated from Ireland a little after Robert was born and Isabella followed a In September 1926 with the boys. I think my grandfather's name may have been David, but other than this and Robert & Isabelle's children born here in Canada, I have little further information. Isabella (Bella)passed away in 1990 Robert passed away in 1992. James (my Dad) passed away in 2000. An update to this query - I have found some info myself for each of my grandparents on the 1911 Ireland Census: Residents of house number 6 in Ballylevin (Manorcunningham, Donegal) 2 April 1911: McConnell David 55 Male Agriculture; McConnell Elizabeth 52 Female ; McConnell David 21 Male Agriculture; McConnell Robert J 16 Male Scholar; McConnell Samuel N 11 Male Scholar; McConnell Jane 10 Female Scholar; All were listed as Presbyterian. Census states Elizabeth had 9 children born alive 8 still living (presumably at time of 1911 Census - that means 4 living children not accounted for and 1 deceased child). 1911 Ireland Census - Donegal Residents of house number 13 in Ballyholey Far (Kincraigy, Donegal) 2 April 11: Hutchison Thomas 53 Male Carpenter; Hutchison Sarah Ann 49 Female; Hutchison Mary 17 Female ; Hutchison Isabela 13 Female Scholar; Hutchison Alex McConner 11 Male Scholar; Hutchison Thomas 9 Male Scholar; Hutchison Martha Lane 6 Female Scholar; All were listed as Presbyterian. 1911 Census states Sarah Ann had 8 children born alive 6 still living (presumably at time of 1911 Census - that means 1 living child not accounted for and 2 deceased children).
