BROOKES : CARR : KEYTENSKE : MILLER
Query Text: |
George Miller arriving in U.K from Poland mid 19th c. changed his name to Keytenske - we think so that he could marry a Catholic in Dublin Ireland. It is possible that he was Jewish: Does anyone have any Millers who were Jewish? His father's name was Adam. Appears on the Dublin 1901 census as 'MIller'. He died in 1907 and the 1911 census for Dublin shows the family as "Keytenske" which is we think, a made up Polish name.
