We have an ancestor Frederick Mont Durbin who we believe emigrated from the UK. born 13th December 1857 West Pennard Somerset England and married 25 th Dec 1882 Woodside South Australia arrived in Adelaide 15th Oct 1878 on the ship "CHIMBORAZO" married Mary anne Weinert. Following her death their son Harold Frank Durbin was sent to relatives in South Africa after returning to South Australia and marrying on 15th June 1911. He and his wife Emily Theresa Parker travelled to South Africa where my wife's grandmother was born on 14th April 1912. We are keen to learn of any family who may be able to shed light on their time in South Africa. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
