Hello, My 86 year old mother has been compiling her Family Tree for the past 30 years. I believe she is so active today due to the intense research she has and still is conducting. She has completed a Book on her mothers side (Atkins) and my fathers (Cornell which is her husband) history and ancestors. Her desire and ambition before she dies is to find and complete her Fathers side. This has been near impossible due to her Great Grandfathers history is lost and we always come an empty page. This is my mother’s family history so far, her father was Vivian Ernest Warde moved from India to Australia in 1912 unfortunately he did not discuss his relatives to my mother or his other children. Charles Parry Warde, also resided in India was Vivian’s Father and Charles’ father was Francis (Frank) Warde, This is the one that we are stuck on there are no records of his birth certificate for my mother to establish our history of ancestors and origin. Therefore this will lead us on to his parents and other ancestors. The Warde families were well to do people living in India. My mother has all the relevant information on their living standards, work positions births, deaths and where they lived married and children etc. Many questions have been suggested as you could imagine; there is talk that her great Grandfather may be a legitimate child from royalty and then sent out to India which they did in those days. He was Born around 1823, this was determined from his son’s Charles Perry Warde’s marriage certificate states his age. At what age Francis/Frank moved to Calcutta, India she has not yet determined, but he worked as Commander of Steamer Ships in Calcutta, India.
