He came to the US in 1870 and married Elizabeth (Lizzie) Lutzeier in Madison Co, IL Apr 17, 1889. He died in Compton, Lee County, IL Dec 11,1933 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery Sublette, Lee Co, IL.
