Seeking parents of Richard GOOTEE b. abt 1882. (Possibly Joseph Richard Gootee ???) m. Maggie DAVIS who was b. abt 1888. Her full name may have been Mary Magdalene Davis ?? I found the family in the 1920 Marion County, Ky Census with seven children listed: Ernest b. ca 1908 ; Margarette b. ca 1911 ; Lucille b. ca 1913 ; John Leonard b. ca 1914 ; Mary Stanislaus b. ca 1916 ; Thomas b. ca 1918 ; Josephine b. ca 1919. In the 1930 Census, I find a Thomas and Josephine in St Josephs Orphans Home in Louisville plus a Joseph Gootee born after 1920. I'd appreciate any help finding the parents of Richard and Maggie or contacting any of their children. On GenForum I found a posting by Mary Joe Hasty Jacobs, their Grandaughter, from the year 2000 but have rec'd no answer or follow up. Thanks for the help | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
