I have a record of an ancestor of mine William Hamilton Urquhart who was born, I think, on 6th August 1800. I am sure he was born in Scotland and possibly in the North East. It is suggested from family sources that he was the son of the Urquhart of Meldrum by a second marriage. He went to India when he was 21 and earned a living as an Indigo Planter and latterly as an opium agent. He returned to London in 1871 and died in 1881. I would like to know where he was born and who his parents were? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
