On August 14, 1983 I gave birth to a daughter in Lubbock, Texas. She was placed for adoption with the Smithlawn Adoption Agency, also in Lubbock, Texas. In a fit of rage I listed the father as unknown but that is not true, just pettiness on my part. I made the best choice I could and gave my daughter a better life than I was able.
