I am searching for my birth father. I was adopted in November of 1981, at the age of 3-by my step father. My date of birth is September 19, 1978. My name is Melissa Renee. My birth father's name is Robert Joe Jansson. Last known to live in or around Albuquerque, New Mexico. He and my mother were married on Jan. 8th, 1977 at Chelwood Community Christian Reformed Church in Albuquerque, NM. My mother's maiden name is Barbara Ann Prochnow. I believe they were divorced in August of 1978?? His birthdate is August 30th or 31st-not sure of the year. This is information that I have learned of over the years. I have their wedding album, and it lists a brother Don Lee Jansson Jr. and Kenneth Jansson. I've heard through family members that I may have a half sister by the name of Jennifer. Not sure of any other possible siblings. My mother had shared with me in the past that my birth father obtained his plumbing license while they were dating/married? So this is a possible occupation.
