Query Text:

Looking for g/grandfather James McVicar supposedly born Inverness Scotland about 1829. He came to NZ about 1850, was a mariner and drowned following a boating accident. He used the alias Thomas Stanley a surname his children and following generations used but DNA show the McVicar connection. Suggestions would be welcome. jean Stanley
