I am searching for my deceased mother's birthparents. She was born July 17, 1939 in Bay City, Missouri. If there were any Baptist agencies in that region, that would most likely be from where she was adopted. Her adoptive mother was a strict Southern Baptist. She was most likely in her 30s when they adopted my mother. The adoptive parents' names were Beulah (Girouard) Johnson and McKinley "Mack" Johnson; he was about 5 years older than Beulah; she was born 21 Oct 1904 or 05 in Raywood, TX and was a homemaker. I think McKinley worked for Phillips 66 Oil. They named my mother THELMA MAXINE JOHNSON and continued living in Missouri for a few years, then moved to Indiana. My mother was adorable, big blue eyes, her hair looks dark in pix of her at 5mos. old and one yr. old. Then it became so blond, it looked white. I have pix of her at every year. She eventually married Terrence Lee O'Connor on 14 Feb 1958 at a Baptist church in Hammond, IN. They moved to Owensville, MO and had a daughter, me, in 1959. We moved to Hammond, IN in 1960 and to Hessville, IN in 1965. If her birth family is interested or can at least provide me with a family medical history, I would really appreciate it.
