I was born at Tampa General on May 18, 1939. My birth mother was a nurse at the Salvation Army Home and Hospital, but I believe she originally came to the home because she was pregnant and was looking for a safe place to give birth to me. Mom never discussed these circumstance with me at any time in her life. My birth certificate was signed by her and the attending doctor who signed his name as my father (I don't believe he was my father). I was five years old when mom and I eventually moved to Pennsylvania where she married a gentleman who adopted me as his son for which I'm extremely thankful to God! Up to the time I was adopted my surname was GReenwood. I've always been told that my birth father died in WW II, and that may be true. The only piece of info I have is that I bear his first name, Edward, as my middle name. That's not much to go on. I would be pleased to hear from anyone with any information. I would love to know what happend to my birth dad. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
