I am looking for descendants of Eric Tregear Williams(1890-1972),the british adviser in Kelantan,Malaysia 1941.Son of Edward Williams and Margaret Marion ?, of Rowanlea, Redruth, Cornwall.Educated in Blundell's School from January 1903 to Summer 1908, boarding in Junior House and later School House.he played rugby as a forward for School House in the 1905/6 and 1906/7 seasons, in 1906 he won the Divinity and History Prize in the Lower Sixth Form, in 1908 he won the Newte Exhibition for Balliol College.Attended to Balliol College,Oxford in 1908.His appointments in Malaya - As a Cadet in 1913. Straits Settlement Service District Officer 1915 2nd Assistant Secretary, Singapore 1921 Collector of Land Revenue, Penang, 1925 1st Assistant Secretary 1927 Commissioner of Trade and Customs, Johore 1932 Secretary to Resident, Perak 1935 Under-Secretary, Straits Settlement Government 1937 Adviser in Kelentan 1940 Representative of Malaya in Australia from 29 January 1942 to March retired 1947.He married to Gwendoline Evelyn Shelley-Mills.He retired to Farleigh,Bulstrode Way,Gerrard's Cross.
