I am seeking information concerning my paternal greatgrandfather, Michael Rader. He was born April 12, 1822 in Bayern, Germany and died on June 25, 1901 in Clearfield Co. PA. His wife's name was Catherine and they apparently immigrated together from Germany in 1848. They arrived in New York and went immediately to Pennsylvania and remained there throughout their lives. They became citizens on December 18, 1854. Their seven children were born and raised in Clearfield Co. My grandfather and one of his brothers moved to Iowa in 1886.
