Seeking descendants of Samuel Potts [1830-1894] and Nancy Jane Sheets Meridith. They were both born in KY and he immigrated to MO about 1848 and then to KS. Samuel was first married to Henrietta Thomsas and lived around Denver in 1860 near his sister Artemissa Collier. He married in 1866 in Harrisonville, MO to Nancy Jane, a widow with several children. They moved to Lydon in Osage Co., KS around 1878 and remainded there the rest of their lives. Samuel's children were: 1) SARAH E. POTTS - Born ca 1852 to his first wife; she married _____ Haye and may have been widowed early. 2) SUSAN ALICE POTTS - Born 1868; died 1934. 3) WILLIAM LUTHER POTTS - Born 1869; married Lucy M. Williams. Children: Amelia Ruth married Ernest Coxen; Elizabeth married Charles Edgar Hawes; Clarence E. married Essa T. 4) SAMUEL SCOTT POTTS - Born 1873; married first to Bessie B. Schreck; married second to Martha Smith Harmon and died in Craig, CO.
