I was born in Jackson Michigan on 1/15/65 to a 21 year old woman who was going to college in the area. She was a senior majoring in psychology at that time. My birth mother was 5'8" tall and weighed 140 lbs. She had brown, wavy hair and a fair, slightly freckled complexion. My adopted mother believes that her name was Elisabeth Demet. Her grandfather came to the U.S. from Greece as a young man and owned a successful business. Her mother was of Irish extraction and and played the piano. She was the oldest of five and had three sisters and one brother. At the time of my birth, she had a sister who was a junior in college, another sister who was a "student". Her brother was 16 in 1965 and her youngest sister was 9. The family was athletic and excelled at sports. My birth father is of Norwegian descent and was 5'11" tall and weighed 140 lbs. He was also 21 but was a junior in college, having taken a year off to earn money for school. He was also a psychology major. They had been together for 2-3 years at the time of my birth. My birth mother was Greek orthodox and my father was Lutheran. My adoption was handled by the Illinois Children's Home and Aid Society in Chicago, my birth mother was a resident of Illinois. My parents were not married but planned to continue with college and the pregnancy had not ended their relationship. The photo is of myself and my daughter, who greatly resembles what I looked like at that age. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
