My husband and I, are in search of my biological daughter, a caucasian female born 03/10/1995 at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg, PA. I was living with my parents in Marshall's Creek, PA. at the time of the birth. The adoption was an "open adoption" with an agreement from the adoptive parents to provide the birth mother with an annual photograph of her. Unfortunately, I left my parents home on bad terms and my copies of the adoption records were destroyed by my parents. The biological father signed his parental rights over almost immediately. I did not have a job, a drivers license or a stable environment in which to raise a child. I felt the best option for my biological child was to give her to a family that had the means to properly care for a baby. I have no way of contacting the adoptive parents, nor do I know the name of their atty. I only know very few facts about the adoptive parents: 1.) they were both adopted as children; 2.) they both promised that when she was old enough to understand, they would inform her of the adoption and of her biological mother; 3.)their last name; 4.) they had previously adopted a little boy at birth (his birth mother regained custody of him); 5.) they also adopted a female child from China only months prior to adopting her; 6.) the adoptive mother's brother and sister both knew my step-father and mother; 7.) the adoptive mother's brother was my father's employer and a family friend for years; 8.) the adoptive mother's brother was the person responsible for connecting me with the adoptive parents resulting in the adoption. I have but a single photo of my biological daughter and at the time of the photo she was a toddler, perhaps 2 or 3 years of age. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
