Hi, I have received a copy of the Application of Husband and Wife for Admission to the Illinois Soldiers & Sailors Home. It turns out that this is not my Henry HARRIS. The application was made on 20 October 1910 in Adams County, Illinois. Henry is described as 77 years old, 6 feet and 1/2 inches high; fair complexion with blue eyes and gray hair. He was born in Harrisburg, Rockingham County, Virginia on 05 March 1834. His wife is listed as Lydia Ann (MATHIS) HARRIS whom he married on 08 January 1867 in Anderson, Madison County, Indiana. At the time of the application, he states that he had six living children, the eldest being 35 years old and the youngest being 23. Clara B. MCKINLEY of Tulsa, OK is listed as the person he'd like his effects sent to in case of his death. The document lists his children as: Clara B.
