Hugh Watson Douglas born in Belfast,Ireland on 8-31-1866, his Mother died in Ireland in February 1868. Hugh Watson was taken to the home for Friendless Children in New York City on June 25, 1868. On March 16,1875 he was sent West and on April 10,1875 Hugh was placed in the home of Mr.& Mrs. John Douglas, of Medora,Iowa in Warren County, he was 8 years old. They never adopted him but allowed him to take the family name. I'm looking for any information on the Douglas Family or Hugh Watson Douglas, my Great Grandfather. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
