My Great Grandfather Roby Brighouse born c1849 in Derbyshire, uk, married Mary nee Johansen born c1852 oslo, Norway. They married in the Hawkes Bay in 1873. They had a Soda Water and Lemonade factory in Dannevirke eventually. I would like to know where they would have imported their glass bottles from as there was no glass manufacturers in NZ at that time? Would they have come in through the port of Napier? This would have been in the 1870's - 1880's.Also wonder if anyone has a picture of the ship 'Olaf' which Mary came over on? Regards Lynn | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
